Transportation and Support

Our clinic supports by far the largest number of patients with obstetric brachial plexus injuries in North America. Most of our patients come from outside Texas and with the facilities of the Texas Medical Center (the largest in the world) and the Texas Children’s Hospital (the second largest in the world, soon to be the largest), we have excellent facilities for patients traveling from outside Texas.

There are accommodations at all price ranges nearby and all have shuttle service to the Texas Children’s Hospital and the Medical Center.

Below are some links to help you with travel arrangements:

Transportation and Support

Airfare is often provided at reduced cost or free by various major airlines if the flight is for medical reasons. We have full-time clinical coordinators to help with insurance questions. Our mission is to help all individuals with winged scapula injuries get treatment and we will work hard to assist you in coming to see us.

We can evaluate injuries before and after being seen in the clinic by mailed videotape and can even videoconference to any city in the world as a way to evaluate function in real time.
